We are always in need of volunteers.  You can volunteer as a team lead, a kitchen helper, a driver, a grocery shopper or a board member.

Team Lead

• Team Lead is the main cook and supervisor for the Kitchen Helpers

• Prepare approximately 40 - 50 meals in teams of 3-4 volunteers

• Approximately 7 - 8 hours twice a month

​

Kitchen Helper

• Works with Team Lead and other Kitchen Helper to prepare the meals

• Takes direction from Team Lead to perform meal preparation, such as peeling vegetables, serving, and washing dishes

• Approximately 5 hours twice a month.

Driver

• Deliver meals to clients. 

• Approximately 2 hours twice a month.

​

Grocery Shopper

• Shop for groceries to be used in the preparation of meals.

​

Board Member

• Become a board member and assist in the planning, running and organization of Sooke Meals on Wheels.

• Attend 4 meetings a year plus the AGM.
